Angela Monge Alvarez

Hello
I’m Angela — a London-based cellist and cello teacher. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I feel so lucky to be able to share that passion every day. Whether I’m performing or teaching, my goal is always the same: to help others experience the joy and magic that music can bring. Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, I'm here to support and inspire you on your musical journey.
My Story
Angela is a dedicated and passionate cello teacher based in London. She holds a Master of Performance degree from the Royal College of Music, as well as a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy. With her strong musical background and years of teaching experience, she helps students of all ages and levels discover the joy of playing the cello.
Angela creates personalised lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals, whether they’re learning for pleasure, preparing for ABRSM exams, or auditioning for Junior Colleges and conservatoires across the UK. From the very first lesson, she takes the time to understand each student’s needs and designs a clear, supportive plan for their success.
Adult learners are very welcome — whether you’re returning to the cello after years away or starting from scratch, Angela offers flexible, encouraging guidance to help you build confidence and enjoy your musical journey.
She also teaches music theory and musicianship, from beginner level up to Grade 8 and beyond.
